6/2/2005 :: A slendid time was had by all....

An Old Union Dispatch:

Words can't really describe what an amazing experience our debut at Bonnaroo was this past weekend. First of all, our heartfelt thanks to all of our Nashville friends, who came out in force to support us at each of our sets. You really set the mood for all of the newcomers from all over the country that attended the shows. You always come through for us and we will never forget it. Huge thanks to AC Entertainment, Superfly and the entire Bonnaroo staff who treated us with the same respect as every artist at the event and who's professionalism and talent have truly set the standard for how a massive festival should run. Lastly a warm welcome to all of those who saw Old Union for the first time, you are now part of the family.
:: We have just three more dates before heading out west for three weeks with fellow Bonnaroo alumni's Mile 8. We're looking forward to seeing everyone in Auburn and Chattanooga this weekend. To kick the weekend off, we hope everyone will join us at Bluesboro in Murfreesboro this Thursday for a big west-coast sendoff party. Bonnaroo has fired us up to play a couple of good long sets for all of our Nashville friends. Expect a few surprises and new songs. This will be our last show in the Nashville area for over a month so please come out and join us and wish the band well. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend and we'll see you with your dancing shoes on this Thursday in the Boro.

05/04/2005 :: New Uncle Daddy and the Family Secret CD!

Uncle Daddy will return to the studio for the first time in two years to begin recording their fifth, and final, release. The effort, New Season , will feature music that is more like the bands first two efforts according to founder R.Hoffman. " We are getting back to where we started. It's like we've come full circle, " Hoffman says of the upcoming effort. He has also openly informed close associates that this is more than likely the last cd project for Uncle Daddy. " After more than ten years, fifty or so songs, and more live shows than I can count, I would prefer to begin looking at some of the other projects I've been working on and to let the other players begin their own musical journeys. " Speculation about the announcement had reached a fever pitch since the release of JW's debut effort and the announcement that M.D.Myers will be doing the same over the next year with his debut cd. Hoffman is expected to make a formal announcement within the next several months and on a lighter note... New Season is scheduled for release this fall.

2/01/2005 :: Uncle Daddy LIVE Feb 25th-26th

Uncle Daddy spent most of January rehearsing for their 2005 performance schedule and according to founder R.Hoffman the band is as primed as a V-8 engine. Though he wouldn't elaborate on details he did say that the now eight piece act has added some great new covers as well as old Uncle Daddy faves to the 2005 setlist. New cover music includes artists like Muddy Waters, J. Geils Band, Traffic, War , and a few more surprises. TFS will play CC's Showcase in March for the St. Patty's Lost Weekend Extravaganza. More news on that later this month. Tickets go on sale online February 18th.

2/10/2005 :: Old Union featured in Hittin the Note

We are pleased to announce that Old Union is featured in the current issue of Hittin' the Note magazine, the official magazine of the Allman Brothers Band. Please take a moment to pick up a copy at your local Tower Records or Borders Books. It should be on shelves this week or next. Magazine editor Bill Ector has become a great friend to the band bumping into us many times this summer, he has shared the stage with us in Nashville, and now written a flattering piece on Old Union. We are ever grateful for his support.
